Opinionated, knowledgeable, and always self deprecating, Valenti is the fans voice. Love him or hate him, Mike Valenti is one of the most opinionated personalities at 97.1 The Ticket. Since 1998, Mike has been immersed in radio and television, working for and producing a host of shows. Originally from upstate New York, Valenti began watching the Big Ten from a young age, and by the time he was in high school, he was a full-fledged Michigan State fan. He arrived in East Lansing in 1998 to study journalism, but also worked at the New York Giants training camp for two summers during his time as an undergrad. Valenti is a die-hard Spartan fan, as well as a New York Giants and Boston Celtics fan, and of course, his rocky relationships with the Detroit’s sports dynasties.
