Michigan Fans Furious Over Cracker Barrel’s New Look
Michigan has had a long, storied love affair with Cracker Barrel. It's often the first stop on road trips for breakfast, buying old candy, and considering a rocking chair purchase. But if you believe everything on social media, nothing ruins a stack of pancakes like a logo change.

What Changed in Cracker Barrel’s Logo?
Cracker Barrel recently altered its "iconic" logo by removing the old man, "Old Country Store," and even the barrel. Michigan's outrage was almost immediate because, clearly, the biggest crisis we are facing in 2025 is the disappearance of a missing cartoon uncle.
The AP reports that Cracker Barrel executives have released a statement addressing the uproar over the logo and interior changes, basically saying, "We could have done a better job." However, despite the outcry, they're sticking with the new logo. Translation: "We hear you, we love you, but life's not fair—enjoy your hashbrown casserole."
Cracker Barrel’s New Look Inside Restaurants
Some restaurants in Michigan and around the country have even ditched the antique-coated walls for a stark white motif, featuring modern furniture and updated menus that make it look more like a Target cafe than a Cracker Barrel.
How Competitors Are Roasting Cracker Barrel
The competition is piling on, too, with Steak n' Shake calling out Cracker Barrel for attempting to be "trendy." When Steak n' Shake is roasting you, maybe reevaluate the decision that led you there.
