The company says these upgrades are all about modernizing your shopping experience. The new layouts, based on the "Store of the Future" model in Cypress, Texas, will feature more spacious aisles. This means you will no longer feel like a flight attendant trying to dodge elbows when passing a cart moving in the opposite direction.

In the meantime, expect chaos. Some aisles will be blocked during the remodel. Random detours and vanishing sections are also expected. You didn't come to Walmart for an adventure, but congratulations, Michigan shoppers, you're getting one anyway.
