Another 7 Brew Could Be Coming to the Lansing Area

Lansing's highly caffeinated coffee scene could become even more potent in the near future.

Over the last year, Lansing's coffee scene has gotten a whole lot stronger. The first serious growth came in March 2025 when 7 Brew opened its first Mid-Michigan location right here in Lansing.

Lansing's Coffee Scene Keeps Growing

Since then, we've seen several more openings, including Foxtail Coffee Co. in East Lansing; Okemos Coffee Shop in Okemos; Moka & Co. in Okemos; Chapelure in East Lansing; and Starbucks in East Lansing. Plus, the soon-to-be addition of Scooters Coffee Co. near Frandor.

Now, we have another potential coffee joint coming to Lansing—another 7 Brew location.

7 Brew is a drive-thru coffee chain that originated in Arkansas and has since expanded into several other states, including Michigan. There are already 10 locations in Michigan, including the spot on South Cedar Street. 7 Brew is known for its extensive menu of coffees, lemonades, shakes, smoothies, and fizzy energy drinks.

Where the New 7 Brew Could Open

Now, 7 Brew is proposing another drive-thru location in Delta Township near the intersection of I-96 and Saginaw Highway, at the former location of Paradise Motors. This is located right across the street from the Delta Crossings development.

If it were to open, it would be similar to the other Lansing location in that it has two drive-thru lanes with no inside seating. However, nothing has been set in stone. Planning and Economic Development Director Peter Menser says that the applications for 7 Brew are still incomplete because they are waiting for a traffic study, which was just ordered and will be submitted upon completion.

That stretch of Saginaw is particularly busy, especially since the more recent addition of the Delta Crossing development. We'll have to wait to see what the traffic study says before we can speculate more about the fate of the potential 7 Brew.
