Lansing’s Beloved Fidler’s on the Grand is Planning to Reopen
The excitement and love that Lansing feels for the reopening of this restaurant is absolutely palpable.
The beloved Fidler's on the Grand will be reopening.
Lansing's Fidler's on the Grand is Reopening
Fidler's is a tiny diner that served up some phenomenal breakfast and lunch offerings. It first opened on Grand River Avenue near the Lansing Airport in August 2018.
For many years, patrons kept the 30-seat diner busy for owners Mark Taylor and Devin Fidler. However, on December 23, 2022, Mark Taylor and his wife, children, and a family friend were involved in a major accident.
Why Fidler's on the Grand Closed
The accident occurred during "blizzard and whiteout conditions" while they were on their way to a Christmas party. The Taylor vehicle was one of 46 involved in the pile-up.
Four people were killed in the accident. One of the victims was the Taylor family friend.
The Taylor family also sustained numerous injuries. Since then, the restaurant has been closed.
Now, three years later, Fidler's on the Grand is planning a reopening.
When is Fidler's on the Grand Reopening?
Jacob Taylor, the son of Mark, plans on reopening Fidler's sometime in early 2026.
Lansing first caught wind of something happening at Fidler's when they made a post to Facebook saying, "Granny is almost done fixing up the kitchen at Fidler's on the Grand!!! Make sure to keep your eyes and ears open for future updates!!!"

The response to that was astounding: around 500 comments and over 2,400 reactions. Do you think Lansing's excited?
When this beloved diner first reopens, there will be a limited menu featuring some of the most popular items, like Jamestown Loaded biscuits and gravy. From there, Jacob plans to add back other loved dishes as the weeks progress.
I can't wait to see the future that lies ahead for Fidler's on the Grand!
