Here’s What Lansing Weather Could Look Like For Halloween

Halloween is nearly upon us. And besides finalizing costume details and picking up candy to pass out, there's one important detail on the mind of anyone participating in Halloween:

What's the weather going to be like?

Having been born and raised in the Mitten State, I've experienced the gamut of Halloween weather.

I've experienced it all: I've sweat in the heat while walking door-to-door; I've had cool, crisp autumn evenings; I've been soaked by the rain and wind; and I've nearly frozen to death trudging through snow.

And now that I'm a parent myself, I totally get why my mom made such a fuss about wearing a jacket on Halloween, despite the fact that it would "ruin" my costume. I mean, how would anyone know I was a Ninja Turtle if my shell was being covered by a dumb jacket? And therefore, how would I get any candy? You know... the important things every kid is concerned about.

What Will the Weather Be Like in Lansing on Halloween 2026?

Whether you have little ones you're taking trick-or-treating or you plan on going out yourself, the weather is looking pretty—dare I say it—average.

Granted, we're still three weeks away from Halloween as of this writing, and Michigan weather can go through four seasons in a day, but the forecast is looking pretty good so far.

AccuWeather is predicting that Lansing will experience a mix of sun and clouds on Halloween, with a high of 59 and a low of 37.

The Weather Channel doesn't have a forecast for sun or cloud coverage for the 31st yet, but it does have a prediction for the high and low for the day: 58 and 41, respectively.

Weather Spark corroborates a mix of sun and clouds for the day, but is anticipating slightly cooler weather, with a high of 53 and a low of 38.

However, predictions or not, Michigan weather has a tendency to change on a dime, so you may want to bring that umbrella or heavy jacket, just in case.
