Scooter’s Coffee Expanding Into Lansing With New Location

Lansing just might vibrate off the face of the map with this latest addition of a brand new coffee shop.

Lansing's coffee scene is about to get bigger with the addition of Scooter's Coffee.

Scooter's Coffee is a drive-thru coffee chain that is originally from Omaha, Nebraska. And while this chain is going to be brand new to Lansing and the Mid-Michigan area, it is not new to Michigan. There are currently locations in Brighton, Commerce Township, and Grand Rapids.

Where Scooter's Coffee Is Opening in Lansing

The newest addition to Lansing's coffee scene is going into the former Biggby location on Michigan Ave, between Frandor and the Secretary of State. There's no official signage up yet, but the building permit describes the work being done for "Scooter's Coffee".

While it's not open just yet, construction work has already begun on the site and the interior, including painting the building red to go with Scooter's Coffee branding.

When Will Scooter's Coffee Open?

At this time, there's no word on an opening date, and the Scooter's Coffee website just lists the Lansing location as "coming soon". So, we'll just have to wait and see when doors open.

When it comes to coffee choices, Lansing's proverbial cup runneth over. Lansing is already home to locally owned establishments like Strange Matter Coffee Co, Blue Owl Coffee, Brewitt Cafe & Bakery, 517 Coffee Company, Peculiar Coffee Co, and so many more. Plus, in the last few months, several other coffee places have opened their doors:

• Okemos Coffee Shop opened in Okemos
• Chateau Coffee Co. opened in East Lansing
• 7 Brew opened in South Lansing

Scooter's Coffee menu consists of all your standard café drinks like coffee, lattes, and cappuccinos. But there are also drinks like fruity, Red Bull-infused energy drinks, shakes, and more.
